Style Muse Chassity Evans

Chassity Evans has been a cherished member of the Hunter Bell community for years, inspiring us with her thoughtful style and authentic point of view. As her creative journey has evolved from lifestyle tastemaker to debut novelist, we've loved watching her continue to build a brand rooted in storytelling. We were honored to celebrate the launch of her first novel, Pink Sand Summer, alongside Chassity and the incredible friends she gathered for the occasion, all beautifully dressed in pieces from the Hunter Bell Summer Collection. Here's to this exciting new chapter and many more stories to come.

Q: Your book launch marks the culmination of years of work, reflection, and growth. What are you most proud of?
A: I’m proud that I wrote something meant purely to make people happy. It’s not trying to be heavy or important. It’s an escape, and I think there’s real value in that. If someone reads Pink Sand Summer on a hard week and gets to spend a few hours somewhere beautiful with characters they’re rooting for, that’s the whole point. That’s what I always wanted reading to do for me, and now I get to do it for someone else.

Q: The women who wear Hunter Bell are often celebrating meaningful moments in their lives. What message would you share with a woman who is on the verge of pursuing a dream she's been carrying for a long time?
A: Planning matters, but don’t let the planning become the thing you do instead of starting. It’s easy to stay in preparation forever because preparing feels productive and safe. But at some point you have to actually begin. The dream doesn’t get realized in some perfect future moment when everything lines up. It gets realized on a regular Tues when you finally start.

Q: Which piece from the collection would you wear on repeat, and how would you style it differently

throughout the season?
A: The Ousie top can be worn so many different ways. I'd throw it on with patterned shorts to walk to coffee at Arthur's Bakery in the morning. I'd wear it over my bikini with a fun sarong tied around my waist from the beach to lunch on the patio at the Dunmore. And I'd pair it with a fun long skirt for dinner at Ocean View Club!

Q: There’s something special about growing with a brand over time. What has that experience felt like for

you with Hunter Bell?
A: I found Hunter Bell about a year into starting my blog, roughly 15 years ago, so the brand has basically been there for my entire career. The pieces are tied to actual memories for me, the Friday lunches with friends, the photo shoots, the brand celebrations when Hunter comes to Charleston. I think growing with a brand feels like a record of your life. Pink Sand Summer wasn’t even something I’d planned. The idea came to me in a dream, and I started writing two weeks later. So having Hunter Bell here for this chapter, one I didn’t see coming, feels like a full circle moment. The same brand I found at the very beginning is here for the thing that surprised me most.
