Julia Berolzheimer’s style is enviably chic and polished. She has a natural way of making special occasion dressing feel elevated, choosing pieces that are perfect for garden parties, weddings, and celebratory events. Her aesthetic aligns seamlessly with Hunter Bell, and we love seeing her bring our designs to life as she shares how she styles her wardrobe for spring’s most special moments!
Q: Where do you start when choosing what to wear to a spring wedding?
A: "I always start with color. Spring weddings are the one time I’m not trying to play it safe, I want something that actually makes me happy to put on. With Hunter Bell, that’s usually a bold shade like the chartreuse strapless or that saturated pink. Then I balance it with shape. If the color is loud, I want the silhouette to feel clean and intentional, like a defined waist and a full skirt. It keeps the look polished instead of feeling like I’m wearing a costume.”
Q: How do you rewear pieces across multiple spring events?
A: "I think of the dress as the base, and the styling is what changes the vibe. The chartreuse strapless with a pink heel feels fun and a little cheeky, but swap in nude sandals and gold jewelry and it suddenly looks much more classic. Same with the illustrated floral set: wear it together when you want the full statement, or split it up. The skirt with a white tee is instantly daytime. Shoes and accessories do so much heavy lifting, you can basically get multiple outfits out of one piece.”
Q: What makes an outfit feel special but still comfortable and true to you?
A: "When it looks like a moment, but it doesn’t feel like a project. I love when the statement is built into the design, not something I have to ‘manage’ all night. That pink bow-front dress is a good example: the neckline does the work, but the cotton is soft, the skirt moves, and the waist has shape without squeezing you. I’m not really chasing ‘effortless’ anymore. I’d rather look intentional and still be able to breathe, eat, dance, all of it.”
