Style Muse Amanda Jones Vaughan
Amanda Jones Vaughan’s summer style feels perfectly aligned with the Hunter Bell spirit: colorful, polished, and effortlessly feminine with a playful point of view. She has a natural way of mixing elevated pieces with relaxed coastal styling, making every look feel easy and approachable. We especially love seeing how she brings her own personality to the new collection, styling each piece with a sense of charm and confidence that feels distinctly her own.
What are you most looking forward to this summer?
It’ll be such a season of both growth and being grounded. This is our first summer in our new home and I am so looking forward to soaking up all of the new magical memories while feeling so utterly at peace with where we’ve landed- from the seemingly mundane nights in the yard to the bigger spontaneous adventures. All of our boys are also at such exciting (and wild) stages in life that are prime for summer fun. From the highly chaotic yet cute sand eating phase of my youngest to gaining some more independence for my oldest, I’m ready to witness it all (and referee when needed).
Your style always feels like a mix of something inherited and something new.
How do you know when a piece fits into that story?
I really try to go with my gut and not pay too much attention to trends. Sure, I can appreciate certain styles having their moment and sometimes even explore it for myself but I first and foremost always check that it makes my own heart sing rather than “is this cool?” or “Will others like this?”. Easier said than done but sticking to- and figuring out- your own style is what makes how you dress feel personable and impactful.
Are there pieces—clothing or otherwise—that already hold a memory for you this season?
Sweaters ironically always have a soft spot for me in the summer. From those early June days to July beach hangs that go until dusk or crisp slight chill in the August air, sweaters remind me of summertime in such a comforting way.
What does summer look like through your lens this year—colors, textures, places?
How did that show up in this collection?
Sometimes my life (and taste and social calendar) can be so colorful and chaotic that I tend to reach for and resonate with elevated yet easy neutrals in the summer. The cream crochet set is both laid back yet luxe and I love how it is just as at home barefoot on the beach as it is dressed up for a night
