Meet Sara Larson of The Larson Project
As we continue to highlight women who inspire us at HB, our next profile is New York fashion publicist, Sara Larson of The Larson Project. With a background working for high profile brands like Monse, Galvan, and Honor, she opened her own agency to work with growing emerging brands: handling media, celebrity, influencer relations and brand direction consulting. We are lucky to be one of the fabulous brands on her roster. Sara lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with her interior designer husband and two children who are all as fashionable as she is. What inspired you to get into fashion? start your own agency?
I've loved fashion for as long as I can remember. My mother and grandmother were always "dressed to the nines" so I was immersed in fashion from a young age. Alexander McQueen's "Savage Beauty" collection changed my life. I'll never forget seeing the exhibition at the MET - it changed everything for me and I never looked back. I founded The Larson Project to get to do what I love everyday. TLP champions brands - emerging and heritage - with a modern approach to communications and strategy. It's really the most amazing thing to get to work alongside founders to help them achieve their dreams. I'm grateful everyday for this.
Best piece of advice you have ever received?
Always take the meeting!
Describe your personal style
East London meets an explosion of print and color. I love sneakers with gowns, sweaters with leather and finding chill ways to make pieces look elevated and polished.
What are your favorite Hunter Bell pieces from the fall collection?
The green and cream check Hudson jacket and Alexis skirt combo that I wore in Paris, the Ava sweater dress, and I live in my HB sweatshirt!
Where or what is your favorite place or way to escape?
I love going to Montreal with my family! Our house upstate is in renovation (my husband and I are working on it together). I also love just having a pajama day with my kids and spending the day cozy at home.
